Privacy policy

Liquid Sunshine makes HingeFall, a puzzle game for iPhone and Android. This policy describes what the app stores and what leaves your device.
Progress stays on your device
HingeFall keeps a save file in the app’s private storage. iOS uses the app’s UserDefaults. Android uses the app’s private SharedPreferences. Liquid Sunshine does not receive that file, and the app does not send it to a server.
The save holds:
- Play stats: games finished, total score, high score, longest run, highest combo, highest multiplier, rows cleared, hinge lines, largest clear, daily goals completed, and counters for in-game events such as colour columns and double clears
- Experience, achievements, and codex discoveries
- The local calendar date used for the daily challenge, that day’s progress, and your best score for each daily
- Your selected theme, owned themes, and a local premium flag
- Whether you have already seen the how-to
The daily puzzle uses your device’s local date. That date is stored in the save. It is not a location, and it is not transmitted.
What the app does not do
HingeFall has no account, sign-in, or profile. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location.
The app includes no advertising, no analytics, and no crash-reporting service. It does not read an advertising identifier. The current app does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions, and it does not process payments.
Android does not request internet access. The iOS app makes no network requests of its own.
Share
Share is optional. If you tap Share after a game, HingeFall builds a text card with your score, time, combo, hinge-line count, and — in Daily mode — that day’s date. The app then opens the system share sheet (iOS) or share chooser (Android). Liquid Sunshine does not receive the card. An app you choose to send it to handles that text under its own policy.
Haptics and the screen
The game vibrates briefly on some moves. Android declares the vibrate permission for that. Vibration is not recorded. During a game the screen stays awake. That setting ends when you leave the game.
Device backup
If you back up your phone, the operating system may include the local save. On Android, app backup is allowed, so a Google backup of your device can contain the HingeFall save. On iOS, an encrypted device backup can contain the app’s UserDefaults. Those backups are run by Apple or Google, not by Liquid Sunshine.
Children
HingeFall is a general-audience puzzle game. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling HingeFall removes the save from that device. A copy can remain in a phone backup until you delete that backup.
Changes
If HingeFall starts collecting or sharing information differently, this page will be updated and the effective date will change.
